It converged. 2025 began at a gateway and ended at a doctrine. Gibraltar reopened the maritime map. Sussex put the body back into the writing. Portsmouth returned iron, sail, speed, and Skyelark to the waterline. Then the old journeys became books, the books became a body of work, and the body of work became a harder idea: training should not decorate reality. It should expose it. I like writing about my travels, but I don’t like the paperwork.
